Betting on NFL Futures, let alone NFC Futures, has commonly featured one name and one team over the past few years – Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Today we review the top legal US betting sites. He’s been synonymous with winning for so long while achieving his GOAT status, but sadly for Tom, we don’t see his Bucs working their way up the ladder this season. They’ve suffered too many training camp injuries, have lost too many bodies and just don’t have what it takes on paper. So, for us at BettingSites1, we’re going to change the script a little.
At most betting sites, you will find the Bucs sitting atop the futures board. As the best NFC selection at +700. However, we’re not swayed. They’re then closely followed by the reigning Super Bowl champions and that’s where we’re going to start things out – with a possible repeat.
All in all, though, we have cobbled together the best team. A middle of the pack darkhorse pick and an NFC longshot worth a look for this our 2022 conference futures preview. While we can’t predict the future, it’s always our goal to give you the best education. So, without further adieu, let’s educate…
THE BEST – Los Angeles Rams +1100
The Rams enter the 2022 campaign hungry to repeat as champions of the world. They’re obviously ranked this high based on their performance one year ago. There’s more to it than just past accolades. The team also added some key pieces up front and on the back end to make up for some hefty losses this past offseason. Sound obvious?
On offense, Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp return as one of the deadliest QB-wideout tandems in all of football. One year ago they connected for nearly 2,000 yards. Also, 16 touchdowns and will be looking to build on their unbelievable first season together. While the team moved Robert Woods to Tennessee early this offseason, they filled his shoes quickly with the addition of former Chicago Bears standout Allen Robinson II. He’ll slot in nicely as the teams number two receiver as they also let Odell Beckham Jr walk making more room for Van Jefferson in their wideout room.
On defense, while the loss of Von Miller hurt quite a bit, the team recruited Bobby Wagner from Seattle. The veteran linebacker was cut by the Seahawks in March to make cap room for a rebuild so the Rams acted fast and filled Miller’s place nicely. Wagner brings arguably just as much presence and leadership as Miller so the signing is an absolute perfect fit.
We like the Rams to outduel the Bucs – again – as our top dogs for 2022.
10 Top Legal US Betting Sites Online
The Cardinals just endured an offseason unlike any other. They had a league-best 7-0 start to 2021 and looked like they were about to take over the NFL when the wheels fell off. The team lost four of their last five to end the year before getting bombed 34-11 by the Rams in their Wild Card tilt. Then, to add to their misery, DeAndre Hopkins was suspended for PED use and Kyler Murray signed a contract extension that included him having to do homework.
However, with all of that said and done, the Cards could still turn some heads in 2022. Yes, the Cards. For starters, the team is playing in a pretty weak division. Big time weak! Sure the Rams are the top contender in the division (let alone conference). However, the Seahawks pose virtually no threat. Also, the jury is out on Trey Lance and the 49ers. The door could be wide open for another Cardinal run this time around. Not to mention, they’ll also be adding a well rested DeAndre Hopkins back into the mix in week 7. Looking for more news? On defense, the Cards could also turn a few heads with some ‘under the radar’ moves. Again, their back end will be led by Chandler Jones on the line and Buddha Baker in the back, but there’s more to this arsenal. The addition of Nick Vigil from the Minnesota Vikings to the inside will help tremendously while first round linebacker Zaven Collins out of Tulsa will add some entertainment and potential to the defensive side as well. Defense?
We don’t love the Cardinals to storm the gates, but there’s a good chance they could steal a few headlines in 2022.
LONGSHOT PICK – Carolina Panthers +6600
There’s a few reasons we like Carolina to turn a few heads. The team has Baker Mayfield calling the shots who was a playoff performer with the Browns just a few short seasons ago. The team also gets a healthy Christian McCaffery back for 2022 along with a strong addition to their wideout set as well as the team added Laviska Shenault from Jacksonville late in the preseason. The Panthers have a shot to improve up front and should be entertaining if nothing else. The risk with Carolina more or less runs on the back end of things. More or less? They added Matt Ionnidis from the Washington. Should fit in nicely along their pretty shallow defensive line. They also brought in safety Xavier Woods. Minnesota as well who at 27 should be primed for some of his best years especially coming off a massive 108 tackle season. Yes, we are talking defense. Big games mean big defense.
The Panthers aren’t going to be the pick you write home to mom and dad about. There is a chance they could surprise and isn’t that what it’s all about? Yes! Get in on the action now. Questions? Please write us.
